Competition Overview
CSUN I.T. in collaboration with the University Library and Associated Students hosted its annual App Jam competition. In 2023, the prompt was to reimagine, redesign, and refresh the CSUN Mobile app to accommodate the wants and needs of the student population.
Project Summary
My team, VATR.UX, participated in the competition to have a chance to improve the experience of the school’s resources app for students at CSUN. Our goal was to conceptualize an app that would fit the needs and wants of the average student at our school while also creating a fresh user interface that students would enjoy.
We started off by conducting research on students and finding out what their opinions are about the current state of the app and what they want the new app to include. Information was gathered through online surveys and in-person interviews, and the team synthesized the data to create a thorough framework of what our focuses are on while designing the interface and features that are within our iteration of the app.
